If you are having a celebration such as birthday or wedding anniversary or just is a group of four or more we offer a lovely homemade dinner in our atmospheric dining room with the added advantage that no driving is needed.

We can't guarantee we always can provide dinner, but if you contact us as early as possible we will do our best to make it fit with our other commitments.

Any arranged dinners will be open to all our guests.

We don't have a license, but you are welcome to bring your own drink.

Our Menus

These menus have proved popular over time, and give a variety of options. You can mix and match the options as you want, but each night, there will only be one choice for starter, main course and dessert, apart from an additional vegetarian main course. If you have any special requests, please just call us.

What is "Forloren Hare"?

In Denmark pork used to be the easiest available meat, so it would be served very often. "Forloren Hare" is a traditional pork meatloaf dressed up as a game meal with bacon, juniper and redcurrant jelly - and so making a change from the usual pork dishes found both in Denmark and England.

What is "Traditional Danish Apple Cake"?

Crumble with custard is not usual in Denmark, but nearly the same ingredients are used for the traditional apple cake. It's based on an apple compote, breadcrumbs fried in sugar and butter, and whipped cream (always whipped cream with a Danish pudding). It's not a sophisticated pudding, but I think it's truly delicious.
